Flavors of navel orange, grapefruit, & some earthy herbal leafiness. Not overtly bitter - definitely not "West Coast" style levels of hops here, more juicy and fruit-forward, more balanced. Taste follows the nose: still fresh & juicy tasting. We can't knock it for trying, however, and in this case the beer has remained fresh & appealing smelling. Juicy almost "hazy" by today's standards.Ĭlassical big IPA aromas - tons of fresh squeezed citrus, mango, orange, grapefruit, citrus pith / zest, and a deep bready caramel malt sort of presence (probably from this beer untimely amount of it's life spent in the can). Probably the best looking beer I've poured all day. Pours a bright juicy orange body, finger and a half of frothy off-white head of good staying power. can, canned 06/10/22 so this beer is about 5 months in the can, lets get him out of there! My third beer review of a beer from Cigar City Brewing.
